DESCRIPTION

TKB Botanical Jojoba Lip Base (J-Base) is a pale yellow, high-viscosity gel made with 88-95% jojoba oil. It adds gloss and long-lasting moisture to lips, skin and hair, and holds pigments, glitter, pearlescent powders and exfoliants such as sugar evenly in suspension.

Vegan, gluten free and cruelty free.

  • Texture & Feel: Thick, cushioned gel with a smooth glide and lasting moisture.
  • Suspension: Holds pigments, glitter, pearlescents, sugar and salt for stable, even formulations.
  • Shine: A softer gloss than our clear lip bases. For more shine, blend with a high-shine lip base or finish with a top coat.
  • Compatibility: Oil-based; works in anhydrous products and the oil phase of emulsions. Not compatible with caprylic/capric triglyceride, fractionated coconut oil or dimethicone.

Special Message to Shoppers

Formerly called TKB Natural Jojoba Lip Gloss (J-Base).  We have renamed this product to avoid confusion.  It is a lip gloss based on Jojoba Oil and its wonderful properties.  However the base itself contains ingredients which would make the product not "natural" in our general understanding of the word.  Instead, it is a high performance lip gloss which is derived from jojoba oil.

Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer, Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate.

Details

TKB Botanical Jojoba Lip Base (J-Base) can be used on its own as a base or added to other formulas.

Shelf Life: 24 months.

Recommended usage level: 1 - 100% of formula.

Blending: Mixes well with mineral oil, isododecane, polyisobutene and hydrogenated polyisobutene. Not compatible with caprylic/capric triglyceride (CCT), fractionated coconut oil or dimethicone. Insoluble in water and alcohol.

Adding high amounts of vegetable oils (above about 5%) may cause instability, so we recommend testing a small batch before scaling up.

Try this easy Jojoba Lip Oil Recipe:

8 grams - Hydrogenated Polyisobutene

7 grams - TDTM

4 grams - TKB Botanical Jojoba Lip Base (J-Base)

Stir all three ingredients together and add your preferred color of lip liquid & mica as desired. Add a couple of drops of your favorite TKB flavoring oil if you like.
