Microcrystalline Wax

Microcrystalline wax is a white, odorless wax which comes in small and white pastilles.


Like parrafin wax, Microcrystalline Wax is a petroleum derived product. However, it is denser, tackier and more elastic than paraffin. These qualities make it a desirableingredient in lipstick formulary. It is also an excellent additive in candles, as it adds rigidity and eliminates mottling in pillars.

Beware of processing

I haven’t used it yet but I had to get at least 3 sample packs because nothing else was in stock. Although shipping and processing takes a couple of weeks

A Must Have

I make lipsticks and lip balms and this wax is very necessary because it binds oils, waxes and prevents sweating. It's hard to melt, but with patients you will be able to get it to melt. You will have to test it to get the right performance level your looking to achieve. Don't add too much because it is a hard wax.
