- It is an excellent pigment dispersant, allowing pigment grinds up to 60% by weight, making it an ideal ingredient for lipsticks and lip gloss formulations.

- Suggested use level is 1-8%.

Must have for face and lips

This Ingredient TDTM I can not formulate without. It is smooth like Octyldodecanol and rich like castor oil. It leaves a lovely film in the skin. I use this as a substitute for diisosteryl malate since it’s not available to small formulators. If it’s ever is TKB PLEASE get it! :blush:

Great for floss and pigment suspension

I got this because I saw it as an ingredient in one of my fave commercial lip glosses. It’s glossy and sloppy and helps to keep the mica from settling in my lip oils. :+1::skin-tone-3:

Makes glosses have great staying power, disperses colors well. It also makes them such a pain to ...

It's a great additive to put in lip gloss but my god it's awful to clean up. It makes your glosses and pigments have better staying power, so that goes to say that it's resistant to any kind of alcohol wipe or dish soap you use to clean up your utensils. Make sure you have a lot of soap before buying this.
