TKB Botanical Jojoba Lip Base (J-Base) is vegan, gluten free, and cruelty free.
TKB J Base is a clear, low-viscosity gelled jojoba oil base designed for advanced cosmetic formulation. Composed of over 88% jojoba oil, this anhydrous gel delivers high gloss, shine, and long-lasting emolliency to lips, skin, and hair without a tacky feel.
Its unique gel structure creates a microscopic network that effectively suspends pigments, glitters, pearlescent powders, and exfoliants, making it a versatile base for both leave-on and rinse-off products. It has been shown to improve skin hydration and reduce transepidermal water loss, supporting barrier function while maintaining a lightweight sensory profile.

Formerly called TKB Natural Jojoba Lip Gloss (J-Base). We have renamed this product to avoid confusion. It is a lip gloss based on Jojoba Oil and its wonderful properties. However the base itself contains ingredients which would make the product not "natural" in our general understanding of the word. Instead, it is a high performance lip gloss which is derived from jojoba oil.

Simmondsia Chinesis (Jojoba Seed Oil), Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer and Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Sclerocarya Birrea (Marula) Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E).
TKB Natural Jojoba Lip Gloss (J-Base) has a pale yellow color and can be a base or an add-on ingredient for your recipes. It's great at suspending pigments and glitter. May be used in color cosmetics as well as skincare, haircare, and oil based cosmetic formulations.
Shelf Life: 24 months.
Recommended usage level: 1 - 100% of formula.
This product will mix well with most oils but it is incompatible with CCT (Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride), Fractionated Coconut Oil, and Dimethicone. It is also insoluble in water and alcohols.
We recommend mineral oils, isododecane, polyisobutene and natural oils such as good products for blending with TKB Natural Jojoba Lip Gloss. Please note that TKB Natural Jojoba Lip Gloss may not be compatible with a high concentration of vegetable oil (5%+ can cause instability). In which case, adding a wax to improve stability will not work, only changes can be made to pigment dispersion of mineral oil or TKB Natural Jojoba Lip Gloss. We recommend that you depend on variables like: blend temperature, castor oil purity, etc.
Try this easy Jojoba Lip Oil Recipe:
8 grams- Hydrogenated Polyisobutene
7 grams- TDTM
4 grams- TKB Natural Jojoba Lip Gloss (J-Base)
Stir all three ingredients together and add your preferred color of lip liquid & mica as desired. Don't forget a couple drops of your favorite TKB flavoring oil!
