Starting from Empire theme version 9.1.1, Quang has implemented a code snippet to enable an auto-looping video with the ability to pause or play by clicking on the home page. Below are instructions for you to enable/Disable this video, and to upload a new video if needed (accompanied by instructional videos)
- Enable/Disable the video on Home Page. It comprises six simple steps:
- On the Shopify dashboard, click on Online Store button.
- On the Current theme, click on Customize button.
- Click on Custom Liquid button.
- If you want to turn off the video, or click on the eye icon (then a diagonal line will appear over the eye)
- Then, click on the "Save" button.
- Similarly, if you want to turn on the video, click on the eye icon again. Then, the diagonal line over the eye will disappear. Finally, press "Save".
- Upload a video on Home Page. It comprises 9 steps:
- On the Shopify dashboard, click on Content Button.
- Click on File Button.
- Click on Upload Button.
- Select the video you want to upload.
- Click on the icon 🔗 to copy the link of the uploaded video.
- Click on Online Store Button.
- On the current theme, click on Customize Button.
- Click on Custom Liquid Button.
- Search within the code on the right. Find the two links to videos starting with <source src=" and ending with ". Select the link in between and paste the new video's link. The new video will appear. Click the phone icon for mobile optimization. Save when done.
