Fairy Violet

The Mermaid Collection is six iridescent pigments made from calcium sodium borosilicate. These pigments are super sparkly at a large particle size (60-400 microns), but do not feel gritty.

In the USA, natural mica used in cosmetics is not allowed if larger than 150 microns in size. However, larger-sized Synthetic Mica and Borosilicate products are currently permitted (although there are industry discussions suggesting this may some day change and that the 150 microns size limitation will apply across all ingredients).

The pigments can also be used in many things. In particular we recommend them for nail polish, shimmer body lotion and soap.
