Our Eye Liner Pencil Base is a creamy, smooth eye pencil that allows you to create your own unique eye liner. This base provides a colorless, smooth and easy-to-apply liner when used with our Slimline Eye Liner Blanks.

Cera Alba (Beeswax), Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Stearic Acid, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, preservative (Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Potassium Sorbate, Hexylene Glycol)

This eye liner base recipe may be found in the book we sell, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Making Natural Cosmetics by Sally Trew.

In Sally's book she recommends that the color be about 10% by weight. For example, for every 5 grams of base (which would fill about 3-4 Slimlines, you would add about a half a gram of pigments).

In our experiments, we tended to add more than that. More like 20% - 30%.

Purple is a color that really suits my skin tone, so a hint of purple subtly darkening my lip balms is just perfection because I'm pretty low maintenance. It can actually be difficult to find sheer lip balms (that I like) in this shade sometimes. I've been making my own lip balms for years and it never occurred to me to tint them myself until I saw this lip liquid on TKB. Problem solved. Now I have a neverending supply.

A much harder wax than I expected but it’s the perfect starting place to make your own liner. Wish the fillable retractable pencils or empty wood or vinyl pencils were still sold at TKB

Great product! Would be nice if there was a clear recipe. I can’t find any that don’t add castor oil or jojoba oil in order to mix with mica. Product doesn’t get as hard as store bought, but it still works nice. Wish you guys sold the empty pencil container that can be sharpened.

My eye liner pencil base

I haven't used it yet. Kinda feel like I'm being rushed to use it and give a review lol. But would be amazing if you guys had gel liner base for gel eyeliner but we'll see how this base goes once I finally get to use it.
