Absolutely Everything Kit for Mineral Makeup
If you are thinking about getting into making Mineral Makeup as a business, you should consider this kit.
The kit includes every ingredient and nearly every tool you will need to make every recipe in Chapter 8 - Mineral Makeup and Chapter 9 - Blushes and Bronzers from the book The Complete Idiot's Guide to Making Natural Beauty Products by Sally Trew.
At the end of your learning process you will have a complete set of 8 different foundation color blends based on three different levels of coverage (from sheer to maximum) as well as 19 blushes and 5 bronzers. All in quantities sufficient to kickstart your business.
We offer a Talc Free and a Vegan option for those who want to stray from the recommended ingredients in the recipes provided in the book.
Not Included in the Kit which you will need to supply:
A grinder of sorts. Included in the kit is a small mortar and pestle but this will really just be for testing colors and small experiments. The recipes themselves require a larger capcity grinder.
When starting out, a lot of people will use a coffee bean grinder such as you can find at a local housewares store for about $10. However these grinders have a small capacity. If you make the complete recipes in the book, or scale up to larger production, you will want a grinder with a bigger capacity. We especially recommend a blender such as:Waring WSG30 Commercial Spice Grinder (a little expensive at about $120) Oster 6889 Core 12-Speed Blender (about $40) and a set of pint sized canning jars (about $1 each)
You will also need paper to work on (or a surface which can be hygenic and clean and you don't mind staining, some wax paper or plastic wrap, rubbing alcohol for hygiene, an assortment of small disposable cups for measuring into (called "weigh boats" in the industry) and a set of teaspoon measuring spoons, metal prefered for hygenic purposes.
