Our Cinnaber is named after the strong red-colored mineral which is also known as vermillion. "Cinnabaris" is Sanskrit for "Chinese Red" and the mineral is a naturally occurring red from Chenzhou in China.
Our Cinnabar is an attempt to recreate the color using the pigments we have at hand. It is mostly red, with a hint of orange, interesting and unique.
Our color concentrates are water-soluble pigments or dyes suspended in vegetable glycerine.
1 fl. oz. will color approximately 24 pounds of soap to a medium shade.
